A Forest Story
Honestly, this whole thing started because we just wanted a quiet piece of dirt in the Kansas woods. We aren't a fancy corporate resort with manicured lawns. I just like to manicure the forest to create a "park-like setting" to hammock and chill—but next thing ya know, it turned into a 46-acre obsession.
This land has a deep history. For over a century, it was a working farm, but in the 1950s, the tractors finally stopped running. The land sat quiet for decades, and nature basically took the keys back, turning old fields into the thick, raw hardwood forest you see today.
We rolled in on July 1, 2017, and cut down the first tree just to clear a spot to stand. From the solar setup to the 1.5 miles of trails we carved out ourselves, everything here was made with a lot of sweat and a genuine love for this forest. We see ourselves simply as its latest caretakers, here to look after its wildness.
Our goal isn't to sell you a highly curated corporate vacation. We built this place so you can come out here, disconnect from the noise, and do absolutely nothing. Slow down. Look at the trees. We're pretty stoked to share it with you.
